Starting from the beginning days of Bohemian Guitars, in Shaun and Adam Lee’s basement, the team has always had the environment and world community in the back of our minds. Inspired by street musicians in the Lee’s hometown, Johannesburg South Africa, we made it our mission to not only create high quality instruments but to be resourceful in the pursuit. Upcycling almost every part of the Vintage Series guitars, we salvage wooden necks, various guitar parts as well as tin cans to supplement the need for raw materials in our manufacturing. We also try to use as much scrap metal, scrap rubber, and discarded woods in the manufacturing process of the Boho Series. Every guitar built is one less pile of clearly usable materials wasting away in the ground. As we grow Bohemian Guitars continues to look for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint beyond the upcycling campaign. We take pride in the amazing craftsmanship of our Boho Series, but recognize that we use a lot of this great earth to build them. We are proud to say we are partnered with Trees for the Future
, in the effort to cover all the necks we build for our guitars.

Trees for the Future
is an amazing organization that helps repair the world through planting trees. For the past 25 years, Trees for the Future has planted over 50 million trees in over 19 different countries around the world. Labeled as agroforestry charity, their main effort is to create long lasting communities around their planting. Agroforestry intentionally combines agriculture and forestry to create integrated and sustainable land-use systems. Trees and shrubs are planted near crops and/or livestock, to the benefit of all. By integrating farming, animals, people and trees in the same space, Trees for the Future achieves improved soil quality, higher crop yields, and improved standards of living. They educate the locals of these communities, teach them how to take care of the land, and empower them to continue the progress that was made. We at Bohemian Guitars feel very blessed to have an organization like this out there to team up with.
For every guitar we sell we donate to have a tree planted through Trees for the Future. It is important to continue to help communities around the world. Our team will carry on looking for new ways to give back, and repair the world we live in. As well as continue to find ways to limit the use of material while still making amazing products that our customers want and need.
